As president and owner of Find A Franchise To Buy,
I launched this business so that we might help others who are driven by the desire to be in charge of their own future,
and have the motivation to do what it takes in order to shape a lifestyle that is uniquely their own.
My husband Bill Haskin and I have more than three decades of small business experience between us, including individual ownership of a total of five businesses, and experience providing counseling to small
business owners about their advertising and marketing, financial and tax needs, even consulting at the formative stages as to whether a small business should be created and what the long term strategies
might be.
As a Vietnam veteran, Bill earned his accounting degree through the GI Bill. Bill's career in the financial field includes training as a staff accountant for CPA firms, a decade as controller and then
owner of an oil and gas pipeline construction company, and manager of the tax and accounting department for a quasi-governmental lending institution. Licensed by the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled
Agent, Bill has owned his own tax and accounting firm for more than a dozen years and specializes in tax services for small business.
My background includes a degree in Mass Communications and most recently I spent a dozen years as owner of a media franchise where I learned first-hand the challenges and the substantial benefits of franchise
ownership vs. a "start-up" business. As a direct mail company franchise owner, I consistently received top sales awards and was selected as National Franchisee of the Year in 2004.
Together we are fortunate enough to enjoy a lifestyle that has met and exceeded our personal goals and expectations, and one of the primary elements that has helped us realize our dreams is franchise ownership.
Franchise ownership is a means of being in business for yourself but not by yourself. It is a means to learn from the success and failures of others. Why work for someone else when you
